Hi.

I've used both products quite a lot.

If you just want to model the data (and are not interested in modelling functions, or generating Develope 2000 code), then ERwin is much
easier to use and does everything you need !! You also won't get involved in the 'system admin mess' underlying Designer 2000, which can be a real pain.

My only proviso is - if you want a real industrial strength open repository, then ERwin is not the way to go, as it stores the meta-data in its own peculiar
format.
