We've successfully done this, developed using 32bit r1.3 and delivered on this and 16bit r1.2 and r1.3. No problems, re-compiled as mentioned about (don't forget your PLLs - bitter experience).

  If you use pop-up hints you need to use deliver with the correct hint.pll and DLL (16bit showhint.dll, 32bit shwhnt32.dll). I guess that this is true for any DLLs.
