Hi,

SimbaExpress applies a 3-tier ODBC solution to the model you described. On the client side a client-driver is installed. This driver talks to the SimbaExpress server in the middle-tier, which communicates with data sources. The ODBC drivers and communication libraries for the data sources are installed on the middle-tier to allow multiple connections to different data sources simultaneously. This architecture is designed for systems with a large number of different clients/databases connected in a network.
