Help With Object Manager Error

In table GREG.ACCOUNTS I'm trying to set up a column called SOC_SEC_NUM. I'm trying to set the foreign key to GREG.CUSTOMER.(SOC_SEC_NUM). I get the error ORA-00907 saying that I am missing a right parenthesis. However, it appears that I am using the correct syntax according to the online help. I am using Personal Oracle7.
Please let me know what is causing this error.
