You are missing quite a large step... You can't simply replace the VBX control with the appropriate OCX control. For starters, the OCX control does not support event handling such as the WHEN-CUSTOM-EVENT trigger that you see using the VBX control. Oracle has a white paper that is available through the Oracle Developers program that explains what is required to implement a OCX control. After we reviewed it, we decided to stick to the 16bit version of Developer/2000 V1.3 and wait until release 2.0 for the expanded OCX contol.
