Need help compiling proc program

I need help compiling the proc demo programs. I am using solaris 2.5 running on Pro C 2.2. I tried to use the make -f proc sample4. It creates a .c file and an executible but I always get a core dump when I try to run the executible. If you can give a general discription of how to compile a and link it would help me a lot.
