[Quoted] The way to get JDBC to talk to Oracle is to by the Intersolve ODBC driver with the JDBC bridge for Solaris 2.5.1. It doesn't cost that much and you can put them on the server so you can get multi server access.
The other way would be to use native methods and bind to the Oracle API. But I have not tried that.
