Forms: Combo-Box Validation

[Quoted] Is there a way to perform validation on a user-entered value in a combo-box? If I add a "when-list-changed" trigger, it performs the validation after each key-stroke. If want to perform the validation after the entire word is entered. (A "post-text-item" trigger does not work on a combo-box.)
