Effect of Stored Proc. COMMIT on Form

Hi,

I have a stored procedure being called from the Forms 4.5 application. What I want to find out is, when I COMMIT in this procedure, what happens to my transaction in progress in the form? The not-yet-committed database operations performed from the form stay as they are or they get committed also?

Can anyone throw some light on this issue?
