Designer 2K - Systems Modelling problem

I click on the ER Diagrammer icon and it goes into a 1.5 min hourglass; then, when you select About/Systems Info, it tells you that it is not connected to the server. It seems odd to me that the three System Modelling icons, all in a row, are the only items with which I am having a problem.

        Can anyone suggest something to try here?
