Good News:
Yes you can use Forms to develop Character mode applications.

Bad News:
It's a lot of work!

You have to use the GUI based tool ( oraforms45m or f45desm). to design the page

Then you can generate the run time (.fmx ) file for character mode my running genform45.

You then run the form with runform45.

The problem is that getting fields to line up is a real challenge.

I hope Oracle will make forms generate a Java applet that will talk SQL*NET to the server.
