Hi,

A query from one of our ORACLE programmers (I'm neither the inhouse ORACLE specialist nor DBA).

environment: SQL*FORMS 3.0 under VMS V5.5

They're trying to execute a report (a legacy applic) in batch mode:

Works in interactive mode: (extract of code)

$ iap :== "$<dir>:iap30"
$ iap -r <input file> -w <output file> <form> user/passwd

In batch mode, the above fails with following message: FRM-41903: Run aborted by end of input file

Have tried all the VMS DCL tricks of assigning logicals to SYS$INPUT, SYS$COMMAND to TT:, NULL, etc in all permutations to no avail.

Call pending with ORACLE support, meanwhile, anyone know a way/workaround?

  1. Is it possible in the first place?
  2. Would a higher version forms permit it?

thnaks in adv.
