I thought the question was what percentage of the db_cache_size would a table need to be for direct reads to be performed rather than the physical IO size that would be used for the direct read?

I have no idea what the answer is and I wonder if rather than being a set percentage of the allocated buffer cache if the current utilization of the cache by concurrent processes also figures into the calculation.
