T5 or X4 ?

I would say X4
- x86 have better changes, (alpha, sparc....) - sparc systems has always have perf issues, none at x86. agility in x86 is faster

Desbite "The SPARC T5-2 server demonstrated 1.5x more performance compared to Oracle's x86-based 2-socket Sun Server X4-2 system (Ivy Bridge) result of 11,259.88 SPECjEnterprise2010 EjOPS"
from
https://blogs.oracle.com/BestPerf/entry/20140123_t5_2_specjenterprise2010 But for you, perhaps T5 is best. if and only if you really need it.
