The first version of Oracle I worked with was 6.0.32. Back then we had no gui tools. Everything was done with the command line. Of course back then PL/SQL sucked big time, but huge steps forward were made with PL/SQL in 7.3. The other big change that came along was locally managed tablespaces. But even after Enterprise Manager and then SQK Developer came along there are still things that I only do either directly in command lines or within scripts.
