Why would you need GG to replicate from Oracle to Oracle? Logical standby should do the trick, if a reporting DB is all you want. Streams replication on the schema level wouldn't be a problem to set up. If you can switch to Oracle 11G, active data guard would be the easiest to set up.I doubt that GG can be more real time than Streams. Having said that, I have no experience with JD Edwards whatsoever. I haven't touched it, ever.
