hot back up failure in oracle

for hot bck up failure
RMAN 03009 - failure of back up command on arch1 channel... ORA- 19502 - WRITE ERROR ON FILE.......
ORA- 27072 FILE I/O ERROR
what are the steps to take when this error comes.
