What about creating a new 11gR2 database. Set up replication for all tables so that you copy all the tables from the existing database to the new one and apply all updates via logging (either via replication or manual triggers).
Once you have everything copied and have verified the updates are working you can shutdown the existing database then point the applications to the new one.
