We have used 11.1.0.7.1 in a few projects. It does have some bugs but we stopped using fetaures which cause bugs. Since Oracle 11.1.0.1 many patch bundles have been applied to bring it 11.1.0.7.1.

THe enviornment which I work in; once we use a release 11.1.0.7.1 or 11.2 we do not install any updates; i.e., whatever release we use, we are stuck to it for next 5 years; because our applicatio vendor charges way too much money to certify from one point release to another.

I agree with you on HP Unix support. If I had choice I won't use it either becaise Oracle does not fix problems on it quickly.. Received on Fri Jul 16 2010 - 20:16:47 CDT
