Hi,
The shared memory segment of 380MB is also mapped into the process memory area.
On solaris you can use the /usr/proc/bin/pmap command to see the process memory areas.
You can get memory usage details from oracle standpoint by querying V $PROCESS. (Dont know if V$PROCESS_MEMORY is available in 9i).

You might also want to check memory usage on solaris.
