Job Title : Junior QA Analyst (NEED LOCALS) Location : Towson, MD Duration : 4 months
DESCRIPTION: The Junior QA Analyst is a team player who is responsible for performing and/or assisting in system verification testing activities; assisting in maintaining and implementing the test methods and procedures necessary for the verification of business applications; performing other duties as required to ensure that the products or features meets the planned quality level.
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Management or
similar disciplined field
One year of software testing experience with proven proficiency with:
Microsoft *Windows XP, Vista, and Server OS environments
RDBMS usage and concepts *Oracle, MS-SQL Server, and MS - Access
Desk-top applications such as MS-Word and MS-Excel
Client-server concepts
Basic network concepts
Thorough knowledge of various test methodologies
Basic understanding of systems architecture and software best
practices
JOB DUTIES:
Develop test cases, test scripts, and other related test documents
based on requirements and design specifications
Conduct testing on application consisting of C++ and Java based
programs against SQL Server, Oracle, and Access database platforms
Execute test cases, test scripts, and reports status to Test Lead
Proactively communicates with management
Actively participates in the requirements gathering and design process
Communicates specific hardware needs for a product test environment
Setup and maintain product test environment for use during testing
Develops test data for use during test execution
Work with Software Engineers to identify the root cause of software
issues
Identify, resolve, and proactively communicate potential problems
Assist other departments in support of customers
Work under moderate supervision and submit work periodically for
review
Complete assigned administrative responsibilities
