Provide MUCH more information than you have if you want assistance, as '10g' says nothing of any value. Report the Oracle version to at least four numbers (x.x.x.x), and take the time to post a Statspack report of at least a 15-minute window of activity. Those two items will get someone started on what may be wrong with your database.
