We have built a new 32 bit RHEL4 server with total RAM 40 GB, as we need to run about 25-30 oracle test instances on it. Initially we used smp kernel, but instances started shutting down on their own very frequently. After googling we figured out that 32 bit smp does not support more than 16 GB RAM. So last week we migrated to Hugemem kernel. It worked fine till yesterday when I was creating a new instance I got :

SQL> startup nomount;
ORA-27102: out of memory
Linux Error: 28: No space left on device right now we have 17 instances running, all with 500 MB SGA.

Thanks in Advance
