Hi group,
A question regarding Oracle 10G:
I understand that when using database links a session is opened at the remote server which stays alive until the local session is closed or the database link is closed explicitly.
Does this mean, that I can rely on the fact, that the remote session will stay the same for as long as my local session lives? For instance when I set package variables at the remote site do they stay valid until I close my local session?
Thanks,
Stephan
