Hi,

there a a lot of possebilities to copy data from online to standby:

  1. redo log forward
  2. snapshot replication
  3. multimaster replication
  4. streams
  5. RAC
While for 1 and 2 the standby server is read only, for 3 - 5 the second side is writable.

Is this all true?

What is the difference between replication and streams? Pro's and Con's?

Thank you. Received on Wed Sep 10 2008 - 11:52:01 CDT
