I like Tora and I don't want to give it up. I did fix the problem, with a little bit of Linux trickery. I unpacked the RPM int /usr/local/ qscintilla, by using rpm2cpio command, added the new library to ld.so.conf and installed the compiler RPM by using rpm -ivh --nodeps. It works now.
