RMAN Archivelog question

Hi,
I've seen a lot of scripts with the following commands at the beginning of the script:
allocate channel for maintenance type disk;
change archivelog until time 'sysdate-1' delete;
change archivelog all crosscheck;
release channel;
If you use the DELETE INPUT in your backup command (PLUS ARCHIVELOG), would you even need to do a crosscheck? Received on Mon Sep 08 2008 - 13:01:47 CDT
