Thanks for the replies.
1.Oracle version is 10.2.0 2. I will find out....whats the difference? 3. Connection is using VIPs I'm told though I don't know how theywork.
It looks like a server failover in RAC is not handled as transparently as it is in for example AIX HACMP, where it is possible to use a Service address hostname that persists whichever server is used. Received on Thu Aug 14 2008 - 03:23:04 CDT
