Well, I can give some examples of stupid questions, but I think hpuxrac was out of line on this one. I ran into the same issue upgrading to 10.2.0.4 and it was NOT SIMPLE AT ALL to fix. I have some ideas on what is really the issue (think about oracle homes under different installation and upgrade scenarios for all the parts involved, especially if the upgrade does not catch all possible errors), but I have spent too much time on it and have zero desire to spend any more to figure out what the real problem is. Someone else can deal with it, especially on a version I won't see for a long, long time, that Oracle should be testing.

Note 549896.1 and Note 278100.1 with some fudging helped in my issue, doing things similar to what hpuxrac and a bunch of other reconfiguration notes suggested made things worse.
