i don't know well all details but as said here http://richardfoote.wordpress.com/2008/03/18/store-indexes-in-larger-block-size-the-multiblock-read-myth-karma-police/ multi-block read count may depend on other factors than DB_FILE_MULTIBLOCK_READ_COUNT. regards,
