On the scanners I've seen (not Windows), you have to configure them to say who they are and where they are to connect to. Then you have to have some sort of program that says how to enter and send data - I've seen scanners where you have to buy a C programming product to do this, and others with their own special language. The emulator must have some sort of setup to look like the scanner. Your scanner must have a users guide that says how to do this. Have you looked for one on the manufacturer's web site?
