You should check your Solaris installation. Post-wait device is a small pseudo-device which is faster then SVR4 semaphores and is used instead of them by the Oracle server processes. It is not a general mechanism, it is located in the OS-dependent portion of the code and only serves for the I/O coordination of LGWR, CKPT and DBWR. However, this pseudo-device is also loaded as a part of the SVR4 IPC mechanism. You probably have some errors in /etc/system.
