Question about Redo Logs

I'm posting this question again because after 30 minutes my last post did not appear, so hopefully this one will.
How can I resize a redo log? We have 3 groups and each logs is 50MB. However, no matter what, the 'Checkpoint not complete' errors just keep coming.
So, we want to resize the logs, but no matter how many log switches we force, the status remains 'Active' or 'Current'.
What can we do?
