Autobackup is still darn good for restore.
You can restore a database from autobackup with rman commands
C:>oradim -new ... blah create the db instances. C:>rman
rman>restore spfile from autobackup; rman>restore control files from autobackup; rman>restore database; rman>recover database;Received on Tue Feb 05 2008 - 10:50:42 CST
