Login to Metalink.
Click on "Patches and Updates" tab.
click on the relevant links.

Critical Patch Updates are supplied with documentation that lists patch numbers.

Here is a good place to start for a specific release:

Subject: ALERT: Oracle 10g Release 2 (10.2) Support Status and Alerts
Doc ID: Note:316900.1 Type: ALERT

If you are looking for Critical Patch Updates, here is the front door:

http://www.oracle.com/technology/deploy/security/alerts.htm

Which leads to this current doc:

http://www.oracle.com/technology/deploy/security/critical-patch-updates/cpuoct2007.html

Which contains a link to this page:

http://metalink.oracle.com/metalink/plsql/ml2_documents.showDocument?p_database_id=NOT&p_id=455287.1#DBAVAIL

Subject: Critical Patch Update Availability Information for Oracle Server and Middleware Products (CPUOct2007)

          Doc ID: Note:455287.1 Type: REFERENCE

That ought to get you rolling.
