Doubt about Database Control EM

Hi

Info : 10.2.0.1 on Linux ES 4.0

I have installed oracle 10g R2 on linux server and created one test database using DBCA.

At the end of Screen it asked to use http://hostname:1158/em to use for Enterprise Manager.

I checked this and it is working. I have few doubts related to this which I could not find

In my previous company, we were having oracle Enterprise Manager 10g on a separate server
from where we were monitoring everything or all the database were registered to that OEM.

But I think this is by default configured EM to manage the local database , Am i right here ?

And if yes, I have not installed Apache Server as this comes in a diff. CD, then how can
I use this EM [ Database Control ] by just giving a URL ..

Can you please explain what is diff. Between the OEM with full functionality and this EM ..
