The latest stable version is 10gR2.
11g is not yet available for all platforms i in 8i and 9i is for 'Internet'.
g in 10g and 11g is for 'Grid'
10gR2 will be around for a while, and it is stable. 11gR1 is likely not yet stable, and even more: Only released for Linux right now.
