Hi
I installed Secure Remote Backup and did the installob program and configured my HP Sureshot Dat/24 with it but not tape library... I saw an article about configuring a virtual tape device and tape library. How would it work with just a tape device, doesn't it need a tape library if you are going to have multiple backups on one tape, else how does it find a particular backup amony many on a tape, assuming that is what a tape library is and not a multiple tape machine, mine takes one tape at a time. Is it possible to have a virtual tape library or its just not needed. Has anyone got this to work on Redhat or something simular?

I've tested it. 10.2 is beta, but 10.1 it not. If your tape driver is supported you can use
it without any vendor media library.
