We have this binary running on AMD
/b01/app/oracle/product/10gR1/bin/oracle: setuid setgid ELF 64-bit LSB
executable, AMD x86-64, version 1 (SYSV), for GNU/Linux 2.4.0, dynamically linked (uses shared libs), not stripped

and this binary running on Intel
/u01/app/oracle/product/10.1.0.3/bin/oracle: setuid setgid ELF 64-bit
LSB executable, AMD x86-64, version 1 (SYSV), for GNU/Linux 2.4.0, dynamically linked (uses shared libs), not stripped

They actually look the same.. how come Intel x64 is not mentioned?

Do we need to re-install these binaries if we are migrating to the latest Intel chips (Dell 2950, Intel Quad Core Xeon x5365)

Current processor is AMD Opteron 846

.......
We run Oracle 9iR2,10gR1/2 on RH4/RH3 and Solaris 10 (Sparc) remove NSPAM to email Received on Wed Oct 03 2007 - 11:50:27 CDT
