While I agree that was probably a racist remark, there is an apropo non-racist interpretation that could be applied. That would be, the Indian IS business has grown so fast that it has engendered a culture of get-rich-quick-in-this-business. Any dummy with a browser can get a brain-dump and put themselves out there as an Oracle expert, and the infrastructure of headhunters and fly-by-night training schools supports that. Nothing that hasn't been seen in the US and elsewhere, though the scale might be larger.

Nobody hates Kazahkstani's because they have no reason to - people tend to fear and hate what they don't know and feel they have to fill in the blanks about.

Right now the Teamsters are freaked out about Mexican truckers being allowed in by NAFTA. Meanwhile, the Mexicans can't find enough drivers who speak English. I drive near Mexico and I see Baja buses that look like they are about to roll over and take a nap in the carpool lane on I-5. I think the Teamsters are at least partly racist, which is stupid, but I have to say that counting on the US and state governments to safety-inspect Mexican trucks doesn't give me the warm-n-fuzzies on my daily commute to The Land Of Nixon.
