Hello thanks to all for the input. First of all, I have moved all files from ax5.old to ax5, and then from the ax5, i have a softlink to /u01/oradata/ax5/data014.dbf to point to /u01/oradata/ax5.old/ data014.dbf. so, the path is correct.

I was able to recover the file... however, it was a corrupted file system. so, I did a complete reboot of the external storage of the (which host /u01/oradata/ax5.old) and i am able to use the dbf file again. Afterward, I just did a 'recover database using backup controlfile' (when it asked for archive log, it put in the current redo log on it.); afterward i just did a 'alter database resetlogs open;'
