Mark,

I tried your suggestion, remove the old rac entry in /etc/oratab. It is still not working.

DBCA from the original Oracle Home can have those options as "delete database","manage instance", even if there is no entry in /etc/oratab

DBCA from the new Oracle Home can not see the existing database, even if I put an entry in /etc/oratab.

DBCA on RAC is getting their info somewhere else, could somebody tell me where?
