Usually ODBC drivers are installed on one or more client(s) ( windows machine usually) not the database server.

For example, Microsoft access which runs on a windows client machine can use an ODBC driver to retrieve information from a database server. Received on Mon Jul 16 2007 - 11:42:58 CDT
