hello,

i have a 4 node 4.3 rac cluster running 10.2. it works fine. i took one of the
nodes, stopped all oracle processes, and upgraded it to 4.4 w/ a pxe load.
i then rebooted the node. oracle instance on that node still running fine.
i then stopped all oracle processes and relinked oracle (relink all). the rac
faq states that the crs software does not have to be relinked/rebuilt.

now the asm instance will start but the oracle instance will not. i get an
error in the asm alert.log file stating 'ORA-07445 ' cannot be found.

at the sql prompt i get :

sql> startup
ORA-01078 failure in processing system params ORA-01565 error in identifying file '+ORCL_DATA/canada/

spfilecanada.ora'
ORA-17503 ...
ORA-03113 ...

the relink worked and had no errors.

cheers -
