The killer feature for me is not having to deal with people questioning why I need usenet access. I always liked the slrn/trn types of line mode readers to power through lots of cdo posts, but haven't really used it since redhat effed me and everywhere I go uses Win clients. I used to use the "pancake test" - can you read usenet while eating pancakes dripping with syrup? An elbow on the space bar... :-)
