I'm trying to install Oracle 10.2.01 on my new laptop under Windows XP Professional (32-bit).

I'm trying to put 10g on my new laptop but I am running into difficulties with the Network Configuration requirements.

First it said I needed the Microsoft Loopback Adapter which I installed but now I'm getting warnings saying that it must be configured as the primary network adapter on my system.

The other network adapters that came with the system I disabled but I'm still getting the problem. I'm not sure what I can do to get this to work and the message says see the Installation Guide for more etails on installing the software on systems configured with DHCP.

The problem I have is that I haven't installed the software yet so I can't locate the installation guide and I'm not sure where to look for it. Can anybody point me to the proper installation guide so I can get this installation going?

Thanks. Received on Sun Jun 03 2007 - 15:40:06 CDT
