As usual, the purpose of this forum is not provide CBTs for Oracle
free of charge. Actually the CBTs are already available, they are
called 'documentation'.
Obviously, one of the 'smartest' things you could do is to delete your
archivelogs *prior* to a cold backup, as you outline above.
However, *after* a *proper* cold backup, the archives are irrelevant.
That was true way back in the late 80's with Oracle 6, and still is.
