How did you come across this term?
The documentation doesn't mention it.
As for the rest:
- an oracle db deals (from a user point of view) mainly with data organized
in tables containing rows, where each row consists of a (typically small)
set of fields. Rows are called "record"s too. There are other things like
programs, triggers, indexes and whatnot but no buckats. "Bucket"s show up
internally in hash calculations and in the ora_hash function.
- it "brings" data to the user in the shape of rows with fields in them.
