Interesting distinction that Oracle makes there. We have a very vanilla installation, no partitioning on user tables. But a query of dba_tab_partitions shows a bunch of SYS and SYSTEM tables that are partitioned. Most appear to be associated with the OEM repository tables and logminer tables. So it would appear that, for all practical purposes, the partitioning option must be installed for Oracle's own use, even if not for the customer's. The DB Feature Usage report does make a distinction between user partition usage and system partition usage. Received on Tue Apr 03 2007 - 11:59:26 CDT
