Yea Calms... You really DO need to read up on this one.

I'm a bit new to Oracle 10g myself, after having used 8i/9i for quite some time. Whereas I was FAMILIAR with the flashback area, you actually size this one. You give it the amount of space you want it to use and once it fills that up, it's been my experience that even if you've got additional space, you're out of luck once you've hit that (in your case) 2GB limit.

Do what Sybrand said. Put an RMAN backup solution in place and delete the archivelogs as you've successfully backed them up. That's standard RMAN that's also available in earlier versions of Oracle. It becomes a bit more valuable when you're dealing with a version that tracks how much space you're using and sets a limit on it as Oracle 10g appears to do with the flashback area.

Since you've manually deleted the archivelogs, you'll need to sync RMAN with the ones that are currently there and accessible.
